Bangor City have announced the signing of two more players ahead of their first game in the Cymru North against Conwy Borough this weekend.
Damase Kiwanda and James Thomas have arrived at the EUROGOLD Stadium from Vauxhall Motors and South Liverpool FC respectively.
Kiwanda, 24, is a former member of the Huddersfield Town academy setup, and has experience of Welsh football after a spell with north Walian side Airbus UK Broughton.
Speaking to the club’s website, manager Stephen Vaughan Jr. said: “Damase is a strong powerful player who can play on the wing or upfront.
“He gives us a really good option across the front line. He’s done a chunk of pre-season with us, playing in two games against Llandudno Albion and Tranmere Rovers’ development squad and he’s really impressed me and the other staff.”
Midfielder Thomas, who has vast experience in the non-league setup, has been training with the Nantporth side throughout pre-season, as Vaughan Jr. reveals how he has set himself the challenge of getting match fit again.
“He’s lost over a stone in weight and has really committed to losing the weight and getting fit. He has bags of talent and will, I’m sure, prove to be another good addition to the squad.
“He sees this as his last crack of the whip at this level and he will bring a lot of quality to the setup.”
