Toby Jones: Forward joins Rhyl from Caernarfon

Niall McGuiness has further bolstered his Rhyl squad for the coming campaign with the announcement that they have signed striker Toby Jones from Huws Gary Alliance side Caernarfon Town.

Jones has Welsh Premier League experience, having played full time football with Neath at the age of 18 after scoring 50 goals with Conwy Borough. He then turned out for Airbus, but dropped back into the Huws Gray Alliance with Llandudno where he won the league.

The following summer a move to Huws Gray Alliance side Caernarfon Town materialised, where he helped guide the club to the Huws Gray Alliance title, his second title in two years.

However, with Caernarfon failing in their bid to gain a domestic license, they missed out on promotion to the Welsh Premier League and now they have lost their forward to a new look Rhyl side.

Manager McGuiness had the following to say on the transfer:

“Toby is our missing piece and I believe we will get the best out of him this season. He is a proven Welsh Premier League footballer and I think we are yet to see the best of him. I’m looking forward to working with him this season and delighted to have him as part of our squad moving into the 2016/17 season.”
