Liverpool’s Welsh defender Morgan Boyes has been loaned out to Fleetwood Town for a season.
Boyes, an FA Youth Cup winner in 2018/19 has been with Liverpool since playing for their U11s side and committed to a new deal in January.
The 19-year-old made his senior debut for the Reds last season in the Carabao Cup and later played against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.
Now the Chester-born defender will have the opportunity of first-team football after joining the League One outfit.
“I’m excited to start and play men’s football for the first time for a great club like Fleetwood Town,” said Boyes after making the move to Lancashire.
“Playing in the under 23s at Liverpool is good but it’s not the real game. I want to move into the league and get going with the group of lads that we have here now.
“It’s going to be a challenge coming here but I know that and I want to get going straight away.
“I was in training, my first day today, and there were a few characters in the squad. I think everything went well and luckily everyone was fine with me.”

Fleetwood boss Joey Barton also commented on Boyes’ move to Highbury Stadium: “He’s a player our scouts have been watching for a while and we are delighted to get him.
“Morgan is a young player with plenty of potential, hopefully, we can help him develop at Fleetwood and see him establish himself in our side.”
