Ahead of his sides JD Cymru North clash against fierce local rivals, Holyhead Hotspur, Captain Federico Tobler spoke to Y Clwb Peldroed, as we discussed his thoughts on the sides mounting injuries and suspensions, the squads strength in unity and more!
The Citizens enter tomorrow evenings fixture off the back of a 4-2 defeat to current league leaders Guilsfield, however Federico Tobler and his side are ready to give their all to make amends for last weeks loss.

Following on from their previous fixture, the Citizens injury list has grown, along with another key member of Colace’s squad suspended. Bangor City are without a host of key stars with a long injury list and two Citizens out through ruled out through suspension, with in-form forward Dante Isla and Juan Torres missing tomorrow’s fiery fixture. A linch pin in Colace’s midfield, Eridion Dida misses the game through an injury picked up at their opening fixture alongside winger Agustin Zicarelli, striker David Carty and goalkeeper Scott Reed, who was beginning to find some fantastic form between the sticks.
One piece of news that will bring solace to City fans is the return of their Captain to bolster the side. Federico Tobler returns to the fold following his three match suspension, picked up during his sides 1-0 victory of Penrhyncoch last month. However, despite being ravaged by numerous injuries in such a short space of time, Captain Tobler has every faith in his teammates.
“We know that we have important players out for tomorrow, but the group is very strong and everyone who plays tomorrow will do give their all for each other and step up to replace the missing players, that’s the good thing about having such a united group!”

Tomorrow evening see’s the Citizens return to Nantporth in what will be only their second JD Cymru North fixture at home. A vocal home crowd could play an important role in helping the Citizens secure all three points.
“The fans will be very important to us, it is an added plus to feel the fans from the stands, we lived for it last game and I know it will be the same tomorrow!”

Heading into tomorrow’s fixture with injuries and suspensions damaging the City side, it would be easy to shy away and grovel, but that’s hardly the case for Captain Federico Tobler. A natural and experience leader at the back, the central defender has expressed his utmost confidence in his team mates, and has done so throughout this weeks training sessions. With a Captain like him, it’ll be hard for the Citizens to walk out onto the Nantporth pitch without anything other than a positive mentality.

Alongside confidence in your teammates, trust in your fellow counterparts is equally as vital to a strong and unified squad. At Bangor City, one of the foundations of their recent successes on the pitch stems from the united group of players that have formed a family like connection. It has been a week of set-backs for Tobler and his side, with a defeat at the hand of league leaders and surprise promotion rivals Guilsfield and six first team players out due to either suspension or injury. However, nonetheless the Captains refreshing mentality and continued trust in his team mean the Citizens head into tomorrow’s league fixture with confidence that they can make amends for last weeks upset away from Nantporth.
With a bumper crowd set to flock through the gates at Nantporth, and Federico Tobler’s men raring to go; tomorrows fixture looks set to be an exciting spectacle for North Wales football.
