Rhyl have added to their squad, by signing Alex Jones on a permanent deal from North Wales rivals Prestatyn Town and Dan Collins on a six month loan from Vanarama National League side Wrexham.

They will be in the squad for the sellout fixture against Liverpool’s Under-21 side on Sunday 24th July at 2pm.

Niall McGuiness, the youngest manager in the Welsh Premier League had this to say on signing Jones from the Seasiders

He is an athletic number ten who loves getting in behind teams with his pace and he also has a good eye for goal-scoring, getting 13 goals last season from midfield.”

Jones can play as an advanced midfielder, similar to the role of a CAM or he can play on the wing.

Dan Collins, who is an Australian 21 international has moved not far from his parent club Wrexham to join Rhyl. He stands at six foot tall and is a versatile defender who can play anywhere along the backline. Collins has previously played for Bala Town.
