The Football Association of Wales have today confirmed the membership of the 64-teams playing in the Ardal Leagues for the 2023/24 season.

Welsh football bosses met today to discuss which teams would play in the what division next season. A major decision was taken to give Cymru North to run with 17 teams as Trefelin BGC given reprieve in the Cymru South instead of moving Llanidloes Town from the Cymru North, and now the division will run with 17 teams.

Bangor 1876, Caersws and Denbigh Town’s promotion was confirmed to the Cymru North whilst Abertillery Bluebirds, Baglan Dragons, and Caerau Ely’s place in the Cymru South was confirmed.

The FAW took the decision to mainly promote teams from lower divisions, but their decision to keep Trefelin in the second tier means losing play-off finalists Risca United face another year in the Ardal South East.

In the North, there were several vacancies, with the North East running with 15 teams, and the North West running with 14. Another vacancy would be opened up too after Llandudno Albion announced their decision to fold, because of their lack of home ground.
