Mark Jones will soon name his Wales C squad to face England at Stebonheath Park on Tuesday, March 19 (7.45 pm).

The two sides meet for the fifth time and Wales are on the search for revenge after losing 1-0 to the non-league Three Lions in Altrincham. Ryan de Havilland netted the winner and now he plays his club football for Peterborough United in League One.

Some players have yet to play in the fixture, either because they’re new to Welsh domestic football, or they’ve just not done enough yet to get into the squad. Here we choose five players that should be included when Jonah names it.

Five uncapped players that should receive a Wales C call-up

Jordan Davies

A call-up is a must for this Welsh Futsal international. The 28-year-old has a pre-contract agreement with Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton for his form with the Nomads this season.

Davies has 17 goals and four assists in 26 league games this term, putting him as the highest-scoring Welshman in the division. He can play as a centre forward or as an attacking midfielder, so his form will be hard to ignore, and any exclusion this time around would raise a few eyebrows.

Rhys Abbruzzese

The former Cardiff City youngster has been a consistent performer for the Bluebirds this season. Abbruzzese has got seven goal contributions this season with four goals and three assists.

Abbruzzese has three caps for the Wales under-21 team so he knows what it means to represent his country. The 25-year-old was in the same Wales under-21 team as the likes of Joe Rodon, Joe Morrell, and Tyler Roberts who have all gone on to represent the senior team.

George Ratcliffe

Pontypridd are involved in a relegation fight right now but one of their players is shining for them. The Dragons haven’t conceded that many goals and that’s down to Ratcliffe, who has been brilliant for them. Ratcliffe has played 26 times in the division this season and has kept 11 clean sheets.

The 23-year-old is a ten-time Wales under-21 international and came through at a time with Rhys Norrington-Davies and Ben Cabango. He should provide good competition to Connor Roberts in between the sticks.

Adam Davies

The joint second along with Chris Venables when it comes to Welsh top scorers this season is Adam Davies. Davies has 13 goals and four assists in 25 games for Caernarfon Town after joining from Airbus UK and has formed a formidable partnership with Zack Clarke.

Davies broke his leg when the Wingmakers were on the cusp of the Cymru North title in 2022, and when he returned Airbus were in a difficult position at the bottom of the table. His move to The Oval has proved to be a wise decision having finished Phase One in the Championship Conference. A good option to have either off of the bench or starting.

CJ Craven

Craven is one of Met’s leading players with four goals and one assist. The 23-year-old has found a home at Cyncoed Campus after leaving TNS as he approaches his fourth year with the Archers.

Modern-day football requires players to be versatile and he is capable of playing as a right-back, centre-back, and as a centre midfielder.  He’s part of a side that are in the top six and so that should put him in good stead with Jonah calling up several Met players in recent memory.
