Abergavenny Town AFC have signed a trio of players on deadline day as they have secured the services of Ben Watkins and Ben Joseph-Jones on loan from Merthyr and Newport County respectively, whilst they have also signed Jordan Chappelle from Merthyr.
Ben Jones follows fellow Newport youngsters Dafydd Jones, Jake Young, Andrew Evans and Kyron Tolland in leaving the club on loan deals until January.
Watkins and Chappelle both arrive from Welsh outfit Merthyr, who play Non-League football in the English pyramid.
The trio all arrive to aid the club as they embark on their season in Welsh League Division Two after their promotion from Welsh League Division Three last season.
Commercial and Social Media manager Mark Abraham said;
“We are very excited to announce the loans and signings of the lads from two esteemed clubs in Merthyr Town and Newport County, which have proven track records of producing some great on-pitch talent. We can’t wait to see them don the Abergavenny Town colours and help us kick our Division 2 campaign into high gear, not to mention playing a part in the multitude of cup competitions we are involved with right now. More exciting times for the club as a whole!
