Bala Town have signed English goalkeeper Josh Tibbetts.
The 21-year-old joins from Vanarama National League North side Southport.
He had been on trial with Bala in their recent pre-season friendlies.
Upon signing for Bala, Tibbets tweeted: “Big season coming up.”
He becomes Colin Caton’s sixth signing of the summer, following the recent addition of Lassana Mendes, last week.
He joins Bala, following the departure of lay-off final goalkeeper Keighan Jones, who joined Rhyl last week.
Regular goalkeeper Ashley Morris signed a deal to remain at Maes Tegid, but is still recovering from an injury.
In March 2019, Tibbets featured for Grimsby Town’s reserves.
Hailing from Stourbidge, Tibbets is an academy product of Championship side Birmingham City.
He made a move to Peterborough in 2017, he had loan spells with Royston Town and Solihull Moors.
Tibbets later moved on to Southport, working mostly as a number two to regular goalkeeper Dan Hanford.
He could make his competitive debut this Friday, when the Lakesiders play Gresford Athletic in Round Two of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
