The Cymru South transfer market is beginning to heat up, with clubs across the division making key additions ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Pontypridd United have continued their summer recruitment with the signing of experienced defender Richard Noyes, following his departure from Newport City.
The 35-year-old arrives at USW Sport Park after an impressive two-year spell at Newport Stadium, where he made 67 appearances and contributed 25 assists from right-back. Noyes registered 15 assists during his first season before adding another nine assists and a goal during the 2025/26 campaign.
A proven performer at Cymru South level, Noyes becomes Matthew Driscoll’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Kofi Rowe, Clayton Farrah and James Bloom.
Aberystwyth Town Secure Dan Owen
Aberystwyth Town have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of forward Dan Owen from Cymru North side Penrhyncoch.
The move sees Owen return to Park Avenue, where he previously progressed through the club’s academy system before establishing himself in senior football.
During his time with Penrhyncoch, the attacker became one of the club’s most important players, scoring 27 goals and providing five assists in 77 league appearances. His performances reportedly attracted interest from both Aberystwyth Town and Newtown during the January transfer window before he completed the move this summer.
Treowen Stars Make Triple Signing
Treowen Stars have made an early statement in the transfer market by announcing the arrivals of Tom Hillman, Lloyd Oliver and Ryan Wheeler.
Hillman joins from Cambrian United after contributing five goals and five assists last season, including a memorable performance against Cwmbran Celtic, where he recorded a goal and three assists in a 7-0 victory.
Oliver arrives with an impressive record from his time with Goytre Gwent and Risca United. Across 56 appearances, he registered 33 goals and 14 assists, adding significant attacking firepower to the squad.
Completing the trio is Wheeler, who joins from Goytre after making 25 appearances in the Ardal South East during the previous campaign.
Pontardawe Welcome Home Former Swansea City Goalkeeper
Newly promoted Pontardawe Town have secured the return of goalkeeper Isaac Dudding, making him their second signing of the summer.
The former Wales Under-17 international returns to the club after departing EFL Championship side Swansea City. Dudding originally represented Pontardawe before joining Swansea’s academy in 2019, where he featured for the club’s Under-18 side.
His return provides Pontardawe with additional quality and familiarity as they prepare for their return to the Cymru South.

Pure Swansea Building for Cymru South Return
Pure Swansea have confirmed the signing of defender Noah Osborne as they prepare for their first Cymru South campaign since 2022/23.
Osborne returns to the club after previously representing the side during the 2024/25 season when they competed as Swansea University. He played an important role in helping the club secure a third-place finish in the Ardal Leagues South West.
The defender arrives from Carmarthen Town, where he made 25 Cymru South appearances last season and scored in a draw against Trethomas Bluebirds.
His signing marks the first addition since Pure Swansea secured promotion back to the second tier. Meanwhile, the club have also seen experienced forward Lee Trundle depart to join Cwmbran Town.
Trundle played a supporting role in Pure Swansea’s promotion-winning campaign, recording two goals and two assists in 12 league appearances following his move from Trefelin. He finished the season with four goals in 17 matches across all competitions.
Llantwit Major Add Attacking Reinforcement
Llantwit Major have bolstered their forward line with the arrival of Jack Tiesar from Ardal South West outfit Cefn Cribwr.
The attacker spent the last three seasons with Cefn Cribwr, making 33 league appearances while contributing seven goals and eight assists.
Tiesar also brings experience from spells with Garw SBGC and Pontyclun, while having previously come through the youth ranks at Penybont.
