Former Bangor City player-assistant manager Gary Taylor-Fletcher has confirmed his interest in the vacancy at Blackpool.
Taylor-Fletcher worked closely with former Bangor City manager Kevin Nicholson, helping the Citizens to a second-place finish in the Welsh Premier League.
The pair left Bangor City after they failed to obtain a tier one licence, thus being demoted to the Cymru Alliance.
Under the caretaker guise of Taylor-Fletcher after the departure of Ian Dawes, the 37-year-old lead them to a Europa League play-off final victory over Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2017.
Gary Bowyer left his role as Tangerines boss on Monday after just one game into the season, a 0-0 draw with Wycombe.
Fletcher said to BBC Lancashire: “Blackpool Football Club is very close to my heart and I’ve had 18 months of managerial experience of playing in Europe.”
“I think there will be a lot of people you wouldn’t realise will want the job. It’s a massive club.
“The club was a massive part of my football career and it’s probably the one club I hold closest to my heart.
“If the job was there then it would be very hard to turn down.”
In his whole playing career, he has made 460 appearances, scoring 86 goals and picking up 59 assists.
He played for clubs such as Huddersfield Town, Leicester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall and Tranmere Rovers before moving to the Citizens back in 2017.
Taylor-Fletcher made 32 appearances for the Citizens, scoring nine goals.
