Valley 3-7 Bryngwran Bulls

Top-of-the table Bryngwran Bulls bounced back from their disappointing run of late with a convincing win at Valley.

Anton Williams put Bryngwran ahead after his two minutes and doubled their lead ten minutes later through Matty Roberts.

League top scorer Craig Moore then missed a penalty before making up for it with a brace before half time to make it 4-0 at the break.

Valley only really came to life in the second and pulled one back through Barry Haigh. However, Matt Reynolds made it 5-1 to Bryngwran soon after.

The visitors then missed another penalty before ex-Bulls player showed them how it’s done by scoring a pen for Valley to pulled another goal back.

Bryngwran found themselves down to 10 men with 20 mins to go but that didn’t stop them finding another goal as skipper Iolo Jones fired a half volley in for 6-2.

Sub Dan Williams added a seventh before Paul Williams scored a third for Valley right at the end.

Cefni 2-1 Pentraeth Reserves

League newcomers continued their impressive run of form with a hard fought win over Pentraeth’s second string.

Goals from Lee Lewis and Paul Jones handed the Llangefni-based side the three points after Gwynfor Owen had scored for the Reserves.

Pentraeth were left to rue missed chances in this one and Owen also missed a penalty as this one proved to be “one of them days” for them.

Elias Cup

Caergybi 12-1 Bodorgan

Dale Moffat’s Cybi side crushed Bod with a stunning win – their second 12-1 win in cup competitions this season.

Goals from James Ryan (5), Justin Williams (2), Dave Webb (2), Glenn North, Mike Owen and Luke McKittrick saw the home side romp to victory.

Paul Owen’s goal 20 mins from time was the only consolation in what was a very bad afternoon for Bodorgan.

Llandegfan 2-14 Arriva Bangor

Anything Caergybi can do, Arriva can do better it seems as they comfortably defeated Llandegfan in this one.

Striker Scott Hughes returned from his two month absence with injury like a man possessed as he hit six goals and earned the Man of the Match award.

Luke Lloyd and Matty Jones enjoyed a hat-trick each and Mark Williams and Danny Camilleri bagged one goal each too as Kevin Jones’ side strolled to the next round of the cup.

Kurt Harris bagged both goals for Llandeg who had pulled the game back to 3-1 at one stage.

Llanfairpwll 4-5 Cemaes Bay (AET)

Another thriller here as this cup tie between two evenly matched sides went to extra time and very nearly penalties.

Llanfair took the lead through a Shaun Morris free kick just before half time.

Matty Barley then made it 2-0 via a header early on in the second half before adding his second goal to put the home side 3-0 up.

Cemaes then completed the mother of all comebacks and scored three goals in around 15 mins thanks to a Ryan Rowlands hat-trick.

Llanfair then looked as though they had won it right at the death when Danny Ross scored but Cemaes equalised seconds later through Dafydd Jones to take the game to Extra Time.

Some great defending from both sides had made it seem as though the tie was going to pens. However, Liam Rodriguez had other ideas as he netted the winner minutes from the final whistle to put Cemaes into the next round.
