Fourth tier Trefelin Boys & Girls Club have completed the marquee signing of former Football League striker Lee Trundle.

The 42-year-old had recently left Haverfordwest County due to work commitments and has joined Port Talbot side Trefelin Boys & Girls Club.

The former Swansea City striker already plays for the Veteran’s side of Trefelin and had played alongside former Swans teammate Leon Britton in a Trefelin kit for a fundraiser for Paul Evans last November.

In a playing career that has spanned 19 years, Trundle has played for sides such as Bristol City, Leeds United, Preston North End and Swansea City.

He has won the FAW Premier Cup twice with Wrexham as well as once with Swansea City, along with a Football League Trophy with the Swans in 2005/2006.

Trundle played more than 500 times in both English and Welsh football, scoring 339 times in 694 appearances.

Before his move to the Bridge Meadow, he scored 68 goals in 45 appearances for Llanelli Town in Division One and Division Two of the Welsh Football League, where he won the League and Cup double in 2017.

He could be in line to make his debut this Saturday when Richie Ryan’s side host promotion rivals Trethomas Bluebirds at Ynys Park.
