Pure Swansea have continued their summer recruitment with the arrival of two players from Llanelli Town, including former Cardiff City striker Danny Williams.

The Ardal South West and Ardal Southern League Cup winners are preparing for life in the Cymru South and have moved to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the second tier.

Known as Swansea University when they won the division in 2020, the club have spent the past three seasons in the third tier. Now operating under a new identity and ownership, they have continued their transfer activity with the additions of Williams and Bradley Gibbings after Noah Osborne returned.

The duo make the move to Sketty Lane from Llanelli, with the exodus from Stebonheath Park continuing.

Former Cardiff City striker heads to Swansea

Williams was on the books of Cardiff City after joining the Bluebirds from Haverfordwest County in 2019 for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £50,000.

The majority of the 26-year-old’s career has been spent in Welsh football. Following his spell with Cardiff, he returned to Haverfordwest before later featuring for Pontypridd United and Llanelli.

Despite a disappointing campaign for the Reds last season, Williams finished as the club’s top scorer. He made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing one assist.

He also brings title-winning experience at Cymru South level, having played a key role in Llanelli’s championship-winning campaign in 2024-25. During that season, he scored 11 goals in 27 appearances.

Cymru South newcomers sign Gibbings

Joining Williams at Pure Swansea is Bradley Gibbings, a graduate of Swansea City’s academy.

Like Williams, Gibbings was part of Llanelli’s title-winning side and also featured regularly in the Cymru Premier last season. He made 29 league appearances, registering one goal and one assist.

The winger has also represented Carmarthen Town, the club for whom he has made the most appearances, turning out 81 times. He is just two matches short of reaching 100 Cymru South appearances and has contributed 16 goals and five assists in the division.

Gibbings also boasts international experience, having earned six caps for Wales Under-17s. During his time with the national side, he played alongside Cardiff City midfielder Rubin Colwill and Joe Low, both of whom have gone on to represent the senior Wales team.
